SDSU Extension 4-H awards 2024 state Shooting Sports scholarships

Six youths in the shooting sports program will receive scholarships funded through entrance fees paid at the shooting sports state match. A committee of volunteers reviews the applicants and selects the top candidates.

SD team ties for 2nd at 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships

Thirty-five youth representing South Dakota State University Extension 4-H competed at the national championships from June 24-28 in Grand Island, Nebraska. The annual competition drew 708 youth from 40 states to demonstrate their abilities in archery and shooting across multiple disciplines.

Applications open for 2025 SDSU Extension 4-H Shooting Sports national Hunting Skills team

South Dakota State University Extension 4-H is now accepting applications to be part of the Hunting Skills team that will participate at the 2025 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships.

4-H Shooting Sports Hall of Fame Honorees

The 4-H Shooting Sports Hall of Fame was started in 2015. It was created to recognize those who played a role in bringing shooting sports to the South Dakota 4-H Program and those who have helped it to grow on the state and regional levels.
