Explore Science at the Science at the Sanford Underground Research Facility

SDSU Extension will host an opportunity for youth to explore science with a tour of the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) on Friday, November 7, from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. This event is part of the Clover Connect series and is open to all youth ages 8-18.

Equipment in the Sanford Underground Research Facility

Youth will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn all about SURF with an interactive overview
  • Step inside the Hoist Room on a behind-the-scenes tour
  • Team up for a hands-on engineering design challenge

Registration

Registration is required by October 24. Space is limited to 20 youth. Registration can be completed by contacting Regina Bakley, SDSU Extension Program Manager, Regional Youth Educator.
