Have you been wondering what you have been seeing in your corn fields this season? SDSU Extension will host a come-and-go corn disease scouting session at the SDSU Northeast Research Farm on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CDT.

The SDSU Extension Plant Pathology team will be on-site for the session from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. CDT. Come along and scout the field with us and stay as long as your schedule allows.
Come on out to South Shore to see Tar Spot, Southern Rust, Northern Corn Leaf Blight, and others in the corn field.
For attendees that suspect they may have corn with Tar Spot, we ask that they bring along a sample for analysis enclosed in a sealed plastic bag with a dry paper towel.
