Erin Hallenbeck is an SDSU Extension Health and Physical Activity Field Specialist focused on promoting physical activity and wellness throughout South Dakota. She holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a master’s degree in nutrition and exercise science. Erin has experience developing and leading exercise programs for all ages, from youth to older adults. She supports communities by delivering fitness programs using proven approaches to improve physical activity levels and overall health. She also supports volunteer-led physical activity programming and collaborates with community partners and local organizations to expand the reach and sustainability of health initiatives. She is passionate about empowering South Dakotans to lead healthier, more active lives, building confidence and improving quality of life.
