SDSU Extension will host a Cattle Artificial Insemination (AI) School from March 26-27, 2026. Participants will learn overall herd management for reproductive success and profitability during the 2-day school. AI Schools are open to anyone wanting to learn to artificially inseminate.

The school consists of classroom and hands-on training that impact reproductive success to an AI program including AI equipment and technique, semen handling, herd management and nutrition, bull selection, heat detection, and estrous synchronization.
Schedule
- Day 1: 9:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
- Day 2: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The schedule is subject to small changes.
Registration
The registration fee is $550, which covers the cost of educational materials, supplies, facility and cow use. Registration is required and can be completed using the form below. This school is limited to 13 participants.
Refunds will not be provided if spots cannot be filled prior to the school. If a participant is under the age of 18 and will be attending without a parent or legal guardian, release forms must be completed. Proceed with payment and contact Robin Salverson for release forms.
