4-H Shooting Sports

The 4-H Shooting Sports program develops safe shooting habits in youth ages 8-19. Students practice under the guidance of certified instructors and coaches who have received over 15 hours of training in the areas of safety, techniques, coaching and youth development.

4-H Shooting Sports Coordinator Training @ Pierre

SDSU Extension will host a 4-H Shooting Sports Coordinator Training on Saturday, June 13, from 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. at the SDSU Extension Pierre Regional Center (412 W. Missouri Ave., Pierre, SD 57501).

4-H Outdoor State Archery Tournament

SDSU Extension 4-H will host the 4-H State Outdoor Archery Tournament at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center (800 Archery Lane, Yankton, SD 57078) from May 30-31.

4-H Shooting Sports Coaches Training - Shotgun @ Ft. Pierre

SDSU Extension will host a 4-H Shooting Sports Coaches Training for the archery, rifle and pistol disciplines on Saturday, May 23, from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at Willow Creek Wildlife (20628 Willow Creek Rd, Ft. Pierre, SD 57532).

4-H Shooting Sports Hall of Fame Honorees

The 4-H Shooting Sports Hall of Fame was started in 2015. It was created to recognize those who played a role in bringing shooting sports to the South Dakota 4-H Program and those who have helped it to grow on the state and regional levels.
