4-H Shooting Sports
The 4-H Shooting Sports program develops safe shooting habits in youth ages 8-19. Students practice under the guidance of certified instructors and coaches who have received over 15 hours of training in the areas of safety, techniques, coaching and youth development.

The 4-H Shooting Sports Hall of Fame was started in 2015. It was created to recognize those who played a role in bringing shooting sports to the South Dakota 4-H Program and those who have helped it to grow on the state and regional levels.

4-H Shooting Sports Coaches Training - Archery, Rifle, Pistol @ Ipswich
SDSU Extension will host a 4-H Shooting Sports Coaches Training for the archery, rifle and pistol disciplines on Saturday, January 31, from 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. at the Ipswich 4-H Building (515 7th St, Ipswich, SD 57451).

South Dakota State University Extension 4-H youth who competed at the 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships this year once again scored exceptionally well, including a first-place finish by Caden Chelmo of Brule County and the air pistol team.
