Soybean gall midge emergence continues to be slow in South Dakota. In the past week, two additional adults have been captured in South Dakota. One adult near Burbank and one adult near Meckling. However, early instar larvae were observed in soybean near the emergence traps.

We will continue to monitor our network of emergence cages. If you are interested in having emergence cages present in your field, please contact Adam Varenhorst.
