SDSU Extension and Elevate Rapid City will host a Small Business Basics workshop every Monday from January 11 through March 15 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the David Lust Accelerator Building (18 E Main St, Rapid City, SD 57701).

  • Session 1 - January 11: Entrepreneurship – Planning for Success, Beginning Your Business Plan, Legal Structures for Business
  • Session 2 - January 25: Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Creating a Culture of Service and Hospitality
  • Session 3 - February 22: Sales, Use, Excise Taxes, Insurance
  • Session 4 - March 1: Human Resources, Employer Service, Pricing Products and Service
  • Session 5 - March 8: Financial Statements, Business Innovation
  • Session 6 - March 15: Financing Preparation and Resources, Crowdfunding, Graduation

Whether you're launching your first business or trying to get a handle on the one you already run, Small Business Basics gives you six weeks of direct access to the attorneys, bankers, tax experts, and business advisors who can answer the questions actually keeping you up at night.

Registration 

The cost to attend is $75 for Elevate Rapid City investors or $90 for non-investors. Registration ends December 4 and can be completed using the blue register button above.
