Attend the 2026 I-29 Moo University Multi-State Summer Forage Field Day on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the University of Minnesota West Central Research & Outreach Center (46352 State Hwy. 329, Morris, MN 56267) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. CDT.
The field day will include a combination of classroom and field demonstrations, and it is supported by Upper Midwest universities and forage associations as part of the I-29 Moo University collaboration of land-grant University Extension specialists along with generous support from sponsors. Topics will include interseeding in alfalfa, grazing under solar panels using virtual fencing, manure use on forages, and managing pest issues in alfalfa.

- 9:30 - 9:40 a.m. Welcome and orientation
- 9:40 - 10:40 a.m. - Interseeding in alfalfa and sorghum processing
- 10:40 - 11:40 a.m. - Grazing innovation and pests
- 11:40 a.m. - 12:10 p.m. - Manure application simulation
- 12:20 - 1:00 p.m. - Lunch and forage ID scoring
- 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. - Alfalfa disease and insects
- 1:45 - 2:30 p.m. - Interseeding forages in the Upper Midwest
- 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. - Manure nutrients and soil health follow up
