Sandi Traupel serves as the SDSU Extension Engagement & Enrollment Coordinator. In this role, she leads outreach and enrollment efforts for evidence-based self-management and physical activity workshops designed to empower adults across the state to take charge of their health. With a passion for community wellness and a background in public health education, Sandi works closely with local partners to expand access to programs that support chronic disease management, active living, and lifelong well-being. Known for her collaborative spirit and commitment to inclusive engagement, Sandi plays a key role in connecting South Dakotans with tools to live healthier, more independent lives.

SDSU Extension program hosting diabetes self-management workshop in Mitchell

South Dakota State University Extension will host a series of Better Choices, Better Health-South Dakota workshops on diabetes management in Mitchell. The workshops are from 9:30 a.m. to noon CDT every Thursday from May 2 to June 6, 2024, at the Mitchell Recreation Center. They are free to attend and registration is required.
