Samantha DeVaney

Samantha DeVaney is the SDSU Extension Healthy Families and Communities Program Manager overseeing direct education for the program. Direct education is provided by several educators located throughout the state, using evidence-based curricula focused on teaching people how to eat healthy and be physically active on a budget. Hands-on learning is used to teach cooking techniques and kitchen safety. Food safety, basic nutrition, food budgeting, food resource management and much more are taught throughout a series of lessons.
