South Dakota State University Extension hosted its first Precision Livestock Field School from July 31 to Aug. 2, 2023, at the Cottonwood Field Station near Philip, South Dakota.
The South Dakota Agriculture Experiment Station at SDSU will host its annual fall field day at the Southeast Research Farm near Beresford, South Dakota on Thursday, September 14.

Each summer, the South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station system showcases its research stations with field days. The days include guided tours of each facility and presentations from SDSU and SDSU Extension researchers. Producers, industry professionals and members of the general public can see how winter wheat varieties are tested, or take a trip through a high tunnel.
The 2023 winter wheat reports include data from 14 locations with regional summaries and one forage trial results.

South Dakota State University Extension experts will be at the 2023 Dakotafest to provide information on a range of agricultural and economic issues, from the use of prescribed fire to livestock to weed and soil management.
In 2022, oat trials were planted at 9 locations, forage summary and a regional summary in South Dakota.
