Leadership is the ability to influence the thinking and actions of people. Good leadership helps others in the group to become the best they can be and it inspires everyone to want to “make the best better.” It requires willingness to tackle a new job and persistence to see it through.

4-H clubs are one of the primary ways of involving 4-H members in the 4-H program. It acts as the hub of activity, creating interest and enthusiasm for involvement in 4-H activities, and events outside the local club.
Throughout the manual, various policies indicate that they are in addition to the policies and procedures in place at the camping facilities. As a renter of camping facilities, SDSU Extension and South Dakota 4-H will follow all policies and procedures outlined at the facilities rented and employ any additional policies as needed.
