Attend the X-Disease in South Dakota Field Day on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. MT at the West River Research and Extension Center.
The field day is open to the general public that is interested in identification and management of X-Disease Phytoplasma (XDP) in chokecherries, peaches, cherries, and other stone fruit. The event will begin at the West River Research and Extension Center classroom with a lecture during the first part of the morning. It will continue with a driving field trip to identify XDP in locations in the Black Hills (attendees are responsible for own their transportation).
