The South Dakota Agriculture Experiment Station at SDSU will host its annual fall field day at the SDSU Southeast Research Farm (29974 University Road, Beresford, SD - six miles west and three miles south of Beresford, South Dakota) on September 14 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
The field day will highlight livestock and forage research, including sorghum variety trials, a study on crop rotation and the grazing impact on soil health.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear the following presentations:
- Effect of background systems and impact of implant use on growing cattle
- Grazing rye ahead of soybeans
- Rye forage production
- Crop-Livestock Systems: rye, silage, and hay sse in feedlot
