Southeast Research Farm Fall Field Day

The South Dakota Agriculture Experiment Station at SDSU will host its annual fall field day at the SDSU Southeast Research Farm (29974 University Road, Beresford, SD - six miles west and three miles south of Beresford, South Dakota) on September 14 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

The field day will highlight livestock and forage research, including sorghum variety trials, a study on crop rotation and the grazing impact on soil health.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear the following presentations:

  • Effect of background systems and impact of implant use on growing cattle
  • Grazing rye ahead of soybeans
  • Rye forage production
  • Crop-Livestock Systems: rye, silage, and hay sse in feedlot
