Chronic Disease Day

Friday, July 10

  • Format: Virtual
  • Where: Zoom
  • Contact: Samantha Christensen, SDSU Extension Program and Volunteer Coordinator

SDSU Extension will host the webinar for Chronic Disease Awareness Day on July 10 at 10:00 a.m. CDT/9:00 a.m. MT.

South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden proclaimed July as Chronic Disease Awareness Month in South Dakota.

This year’s campaign, 605 Igniting Change, centers around three simple, powerful pillars: Move, Fuel, Thrive. Throughout the week leading up to July 10, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in daily action steps designed to inspire small, meaningful changes that support long-term health and well-being.

The week will culminate in a Virtual Webinar on Friday, July 10 at 10:00 AM CT, where we’ll come together to learn practical strategies for managing and preventing chronic disease, hear from engaging speakers, and explore ways to create lasting impact in our communities.

Whether you’re looking to improve your own health, support others, or spark change where you live and work—this event is for you.
