Each summer, individuals who have made significant contributions to county or state 4-H programming are honored through the 4-H Volunteer Hall of Fame.
SDSU Extension volunteers participate in a variety of service programs through our organization, helping us expand the scope and effectiveness of our mission. In exchange for their service, volunteers receive training on a wide array of topics of interest to them.
A Master Gardener for more than 20 years, Cindy Jungman says the continuous education the program offers has been valuable.
Whether volunteering as a Master Gardener or a Master Food Preserver, Tim Schreiner says the interaction with people and seeing that “light bulb” moment after a conversation is really the fun part of the programs.

SDSU Extension is pleased to announce the 18 South Dakotans selected to the third cohort of the South Dakota Change Network.
In 2009, in honor of the terrorist attacks, the national government declared September 11th a national day of service and remembrance. It is a day to remember not only those who lost their lives but how we came together as a nation to grieve for the victims and support survivors and first responders.
