SDSU Extension will host a 4-H Shooting Sports Youth Development Training on November 13 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. CST at the Brookings County Outdoor Adventure Center (2810 22nd Ave South, Brookings, SD, 57006).

This training is required for all initial level 1 certifications as well as strongly requested for those who are recertifying. This training covers the following topics:

  • 4-H program fundamentals
  • Mission and objectives
  • 4-H Shooting Sports structure and guidance
  • 4-H Shooting Sports program and workshop fundamentals
  • Creating and implementing a high-quality program
  • Risk management

Registration

The cost to attend this training is $5. Registration is required by November 9 and can be completed using the blue register button above.

SDSU Extension will host a 4-H Shooting Sports Coaches Level 1 Training for the archery, rifle, pistol and hunting skills disciplines on Saturday, December 5, from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Lincoln County 4-H Office (27711 Highway 17, Lennox, SD 57039).

SDSU Extension will host a 4-H Shooting Sports Coaches Level 1 Training for the archery, rifle and pistol disciplines on Saturday, December 12, from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Edmunds County 4-H Building (515 7th St, Ipswich, SD 57451).
