Woody Encroachment Field Tour @ Oacoma

SDSU Extension and its partners will host a field tour near Oacoma on September 17 at 5:30 p.m to discuss woody encroachment treatment options. 

Experts and producer testimonies will highlight practical woody plant control methods, including prescribed fire, mechanical and chemical control of eastern redcedar and other problematic species invading South Dakota grasslands.

This field tour is free to attend and registration is not required.

Directions

  1. From Arby's in Oacoma, SD travel west 1 mile on Hwy 16
  2. Turn left and travel south 3.5 miles down Cooper School Rd/Co Rd 6.
  3. At the fork in the road stay left and keep traveling 3 miles south down 337th Ave
  4. Turn right and travel 0.5 miles west on 252nd St. Parking will be on the South side of the road.
