SDSU Extension and the Wall Economic Development Corporation will host a Small Business Basics workshop every Monday from October 26 through November 30, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Wall Community Center (501 Main St., Wall, SD 57790).

Session Topics

  • Session 1 - October 26: Entrepreneurship & Planning for Success; Your Business Plan; Business; Legal Structure
  • Session 2 - November 2: Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Risk Management, Insurance
  • Session 3 - November 9: Sales, Use, Excise Taxes, Special Licensing, Human Resources
  • Session 4 - November 16: Pricing Products and Services; Understanding Financial Statements
  • Session 5 - November 23: Customer Service, Business Networking, Innovation for Your Business
  • Session 6 - November 30 or December 7: Financing Options, Business Resources

This is your opportunity to complete or update your business plan and develop valuable contacts with organizations that can help you in business. There will be a $250 prize for the best business plan, sponsored by West River Electric, Inc.

Registration 

The cost to attend is free for Wall Economic Development Corporation Investors (call for a discount code) or $100 for non-members. A light meal will be served at each session. Registration can be completed using the blue register button above.
