Join SDSU Extension Sheep Field Specialist Jaelyn Whaley for a presentation on profit-driven sheep management from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. CDT on July 18 at The SHED at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds (1060 3rd St. SW, Huron, SD 57350).

Jaelyn and Laurie Johnson, Developing Markets Officer with Farm Credit Services of America, will discuss strategies to improve the profitability of a sheep operation. Topics will include using enterprise budgets and other financial management tools, preparing to work with a lender, and using partial budgets to make strategic changes. The discussion will take place before the National Targhee Association Sale.
