Summer field days showcase South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station sites

Each summer, the South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station system showcases its research stations with field days. The days include guided tours of each facility and presentations from SDSU and SDSU Extension researchers. Producers, industry professionals and members of the general public can see how winter wheat varieties are tested, or take a trip through a high tunnel.
SDSU Extension launches new virtual vegetable production training series

The South Dakota Virtual Vegetable Short Course is a four-part educational series geared toward commercial specialty crop farmers, gardeners and Master Gardeners. Nonprofits, business partners and members of the general public are also welcome to attend.

The general public assumption is that if a food is either microwaved, put in an oven, or heated up in another manner is that it will be safe for consumption. This is not a safe assumption to make when deciding to eat food that has been left out for an extended time.
