SDSU Extension to participate in seminar on protecting grasslands from cedar trees and other threats

BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota State University Extension will participate in a two-part series hosted by the SDSU Department of Natural Resource Management on protecting grasslands from cedar trees and other woody plants that are encroaching on this important ecosystem.
Fumigation Endorsement Private Applicator Training
SDSU Extension will host a free private applicator training on March 12, 2026, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. CDT (1:00 - 2:00 p.m. MT).
South Dakota 4-H Trip Application to the National 4-H Conference
Members of the South Dakota 4-H Program, have the opportunity to apply for National 4-H Conference in Washington D.C. Youth must be 16-18 years old by the date of the event to apply. Applications need to be submitted to the applicant’s 4-H Youth Program Advisor.
4-H Flavorful
4-H Flavorful is an interactive nutrition and culinary education program designed to empower youth to take the lead in preparing and sharing healthy meals with their families.
Cancer: Thriving & Surviving Virtual Workshop
SDSU Extension will host a six-week virtual workshop series on thriving and surviving cancer. The workshops will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. CST every Thursday from March 5 to April 9, 2026.
Chronic Disease Self-Management Virtual Workshop
SDSU Extension will host a six-week virtual workshop series on chronic disease self-management. The workshops will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. CST every Tuesday from March 3 to April 7, 2026.
Private Applicator Training for Specialty Crops
SDSU Extension will host a free private applicator training for specialty crops on March 18, 2026, from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. CT (12:30 - 3:30 p.m. MT). Participants have the option to attend online or at various locations across the state.
