Your Money, Your Goals Program to Be Held in Brookings, Sioux Falls and Watertown

Brookings Farm to Early Care and Learning Initiative Receives a USDA Farm to School Planning Grant

The Brookings School District has been awarded a 2019 Farm to School grant by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This planning grant, developed in partnership with SDSU Extension, the SDSU Fishback Center for Early Childhood Education and the SDSU Local Foods Education Center, will create the Brookings Farm to Early Care and Learning Initiative.

South Dakota 4-H Boosts Leadership Skills and Civic Engagement Through 4-H Citizenship Washington Focus

Learning about political processes in the vibrant, living classroom of the nation’s capital, 38 South Dakota 4-H youth participated in Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF), an intensive 4-H civic engagement program for high school youth. The program was held at the National 4-H Conference Center in Chevy Chase, Md., on June 15-23.

SDSU Extension Offers Feedlot Shortcourse, BQA Transportation Training Opportunities

SDSU Extension is offering an opportunity for cattle feeders to sharpen their management skills and improve their profit potential by participating in the 2019 Feedlot Shortcourse. During the shortcourse, a training will also be offered for participants to obtain Beef Quality Assurance Transportation (BQAT) certification.
