SDSU Extension and McCrory Gardens will host a moth walk to kick off National Moth Week on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. CDT at McCrory Gardens (631 22nd Ave, Brookings, SD 57007).

Join us for a presentation at 9:00 p.m. featuring SDSU Extension Field Specialist Stephen Robertson and learn more about what moths are, what they look like, what they do, and interesting facts that will make observing them much more fun! Following the presentation, Stephen will lead a guided tour at 9:30 p.m. to each of the light stations to observe and identify visiting moths and other insects.

This event is free to attend and no registration is required.
