The South Dakota State University College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences and College of Education and Human Sciences will recognize four individuals with the Eminent Farmer/Rancher and Eminent Homemaker honor during a banquet on September 21, 2018 at the McCrory Gardens Education and Visitor Center in Brookings.

August 7, 2019 SDSU Extension will host a Forage Field Day for livestock producers, agronomists and industry clientele interested in producing and storing high quality forages.
South Dakota 4-H dog project members exhibit their accomplishments during the State Dog Show, held annually in Huron, SD.
4-H youth are given the opportunity to develop critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills through the livestock judging project.
4-H members showcase their knowledge and skills during county achievement days and State Fair competitions.
