SDSU Extension will be hosting a lambing season tour on Wednesday Jan. 22, 2020, in Newell, S.D. The group will gather at TJ’s Café & Waterin’ Hole (214 Dartmouth Ave, Newell, SD).
The tour will begin with a lambing time management, health and nutrition program presented by Dave Ollila, SDSU Extension Sheep Specialist. The group will then be given a tour at the Chet Yost Farm during which the Yost family will be lambing.

2:30 – 3:00 PM Travel to Chet Yost Farm
3:00 – 5:00 PM Tour of the Chet Yost Farm state-of-the-art lambing facilities
5:00 PM Return to Newell
Tour participants are encouraged to bring and share examples of tools, tips and practices they use during their lambing season.
