Gregory Dallas Chamber to Host SDSU Extension Grant Writing Workshop

BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Gregory Dallas Area Chamber, in collaboration with SDSU Extension, will offer a grant writing workshop, Writing Your Future, May 15, 2019, at the Gregory Public Library (112 E 5th St). 

The day-long session begins at 9 a.m. with registration, and will end at 2:30 p.m.

Although this grant writing workshop will focus on arts-related projects, it will cover all grant basics.

Writing Your Future grant writing workshop will cover a variety of topics including the following:

  1. Resources for finding grants
  2. Assembling a leadership team
  3. Grant writing basics
  4. Administration of funds
  5. Finding matching dollars
  6. Finding fiscal sponsors

A panel of public and private grant funders will discuss grant opportunities offered through their organizations and give insight into what makes an application successful. Time will be allocated during the day for workshop attendees to visit with panelists and network with other participants.

Register by May 3

To help cover costs, registration is $45 for non-Chamber members and $25 for members through May 3. After May 3, registration goes up $10. To pre-register, e-mail Suzanne, at the Gregory Dallas Chamber of Commerce. Lunch is included with the workshop.
