BROOKINGS, S.D. - Gerontologists from North Dakota State University Extension and SDSU Extension will host a Difficult Conversations webinar on Wednesday, September 11. The webinar begins at 11:00 a.m. MDT/Noon CDT. This webinar will discuss difficult conversations and strategies attendees can use to start the conversation with their loved ones.
Difficult conversations emerge where the needs, wants, opinions, and perceptions of people involved in the discussion may differ. In addition, these conversations often bring very strong emotions and feelings to the surface, especially when discussing some delicate topics associated with aging and the end of life.
By investing time in learning about difficult conversations, individuals are more likely to have constructive conversations that yield the best possible outcome for everyone involved.
Individuals will be able to participate from the comfort of their own home or during their lunch hour. The webinar will be recorded for those that are not able to attend in person.
Please register by visiting the SDSU Extension events page and searching for the Difficult Conversations Lunch and Learn. There is no cost for this webinar.
The next webinar will be held on November 8, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. MDT/Noon CDT, and will cover Senior moments and other misnomers about the aging brain.
