BROOKINGS, S.D. – Bon Homme County 4-H members team up to apply a fresh coat of paint on a home of a family in need.
Bon Homme County was chosen to be one of 25 participants in the 2019 Paint South Dakota project, sponsored by the South Dakota Housing Development Authority. This project assists in funding the cost of primer and paint for a single-family home identified by the group of volunteers. This year a house in Avon, will receive new paint.
Youth and adults from across the county will gather over many days to do prep work, apply primer and new paint.
This is the first time Bon Homme County 4-H has applied for the Paint South Dakota program.
“Members are very excited to be one of the 25 sites chosen statewide and have a chance to give back to their local communities.”
