Aging Well Lunch and Learn Webinar to be held on August 14, 2019

July 26, 2019

The third webinar in a four-part series hosted by gerontologists from North Dakota State University Extension and SDSU Extension will take place on August 14, 2019. The webinar will begin at 11:00 a.m. MDT/Noon CDT. The webinar will discuss aging, how aging is different from disease, and barriers and strategies to aging well.

Most people think aging happens to someone in their 60s or 70s, when in fact, all adults are aging. While chronic disease and disability are more common in older adults, they are not an automatic consequence of aging. Certain strategies are known to improve health and wellness outcomes, even when individuals face chronic disease or disability.

By investing time in learning about aging well, individuals are more likely to live healthier lives once they achieve elder status.

Those interested will be able to participate from the comfort of their own home or during their lunch hour as the webinar will be recorded for those that are not able to attend in person.

Webinar registration is free of charge and is available on the Events page.

The fourth part of the webinar series entitled “Difficult Conversations Lunch and Learn” will be held on September 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. MDT/Noon CDT.
