About the Book

"The Total Town Makeover" by Andrew McCrea dives into a concerning trend in rural America: the number of deaths are outpacing the number of births. While many communities in large areas of the nation are seeing a decline, some are finding a way to see growth. Andrew McCrea takes us on a journey through parts of rural America that are still very much alive and seeks to teach and understand how these towns have created strong economies, vibrant communities, and continued growth in population and prosperity.

Weekly virtual discussion sessions will take place Monday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. CT (6:30 to 7:30 p.m. MT) on the following dates:

  • November 7
  • November 14
  • November 21
  • November 28

Register online before November 1 using the form below. For more information, contact  Kara Harders, SDSU Extension Community Vitality Field Specialist, or any member of the SDSU Extension Community Vitality team.
