SDSU Sheep Shearing School

Saturday, October 7 - Monday, October 9

SDSU Extension will host a sheep shearing school for students from October 7-9 at the SDSU Sheep Research and Teaching Unit (3729 Medary Ave., Brookings, SD 57007).

Participants will learn the shearing pattern to safely and effectively shear sheep. Students will receive one on one instruction from a professional sheep shearer. Both experienced and non-experienced shearers are welcome. In addition, the school will cover shearing equipment maintenance and repair.

Registration

The cost to attend is $200 and registration is required using the form below. Shearing equipment and snacks are provided by the school. Meals are to be covered by the participant.
