Money Talk for Women Program

Wednesday, January 27 - Friday, March 5

SDSU Extension will be hosting a six-week program beginning on Jan. 27 through Mar. 5 to help women with financial decisions. 

The program will use a hybrid format, participants will independently complete assignments online, starting Jan. 27, and meet once a week virtually with the group and facilitator. Online live sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, February 2, 9, 16, 23, and March 2 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. (CST). 

Each week, participants will complete activities to prepare for the virtual session. The book and syllabus with reading and assignment information will be sent to participants after registration is completed.

Schedule

  • Week 1: Jan. 27 – Feb. 2: Financial Basics; Virtual meeting: Feb. 2, 6:30 – 8 pm (CST)
  • Week 2: Feb. 3 – 9: Insurance; Virtual meeting: Feb. 9, 6:30 – 8 pm (CST)
  • Week 3: Feb. 10 – 16: Investing; Virtual meeting: Feb. 16, 6:30 – 8 pm (CST)
  • Week 4: Feb. 17 – 23: Retirement planning; Virtual meeting: Feb. 23, 6:30 – 8 pm (CST)
  • Week 5: Feb. 24 – Mar. 2: Future Life Events; Virtual meeting: Mar. 2, 6:30 – 8 pm (CST)
  • Week 6: Mar. 3 – 5: Topic: Course wrap-up

Registration

The fee for this program is $50, please register by January 15, 2021 in order to receive the book and information to join the sessions. Participants will receive a copy of the book “Money Talk: A Financial Guide for Women”. Scholarships are available.
