High School Financial Planning Program (HSFPP) Curriculum Training

SDSU Extension will be hosting a financial planning training webinar on Aug 11 at 10 a.m. CDT.

The High School Financial Planning Program training is for both new and experienced personal finance teachers or educators. HSFPP is a comprehensive curriculum designed for youth in grades 8-12. The curriculum includes lessons, activities, and teacher resources that can be used in face-to-face or online instruction.

  • 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. - Meet NEFE and the High School Financial Planning Program
  • 10:30 – 11:00 - Tour the web resources; check out instructional materials
  • 11:00 – 11:10 - Break
  • 11:10 – 11:40 - Module 1 – Money Management
  • 11:40 – 12:10 p.m. - Module 2 – Borrowing
  • 12:10 – 12:20 - Break
  • 12:20 – 12:50 - Module 3 – Earning Power 
  • 12:50 – 1:20 - Module 4 – Investing
  • 1:20 – 1:50 - Module 5 – Financial Services
  • 1:50 – 2:00 - Break
  • 2:00 – 2:30 - Module 6 – Insurance
  • 2:30 – 3:00 - Formulate an implementation plan
  • 3:00 – 3:30 - Debrief and evaluation
