SDSU Extension with Highmore Civic and Commerce will be hosting a workshop on Nov. 14 at 9:45 AM CDT at the Hyde Co. Memorial Auditorium (125 2nd St., SW, Highmore, SD 57345).
Presentations will begin at 10 AM CDT and conclude at 4 PM.
- Panel discussion among representatives with the South Dakota Community Foundation, The Wellmark Foundation, the Rural Electric Economic Development Fund, South Dakota Arts Council and USDA Rural Development
- Peggy Schlecter, SDSU Extension Community Vitality Specialist - overview about finding the right grant, letters of inquiry, request for proposals, matching funds, grant management and evaluations
- Weiwei Zhang, SDSU Assistant Professor of Sociology and Rural Studies and director of the Census Data Center - how to research demographics and geographical data for grant proposals
