South Dakota State University (SDSU) Extension, and South Dakota 4-H are holding a bovine artificial insemination day camp for children, ages 11-18, Saturday, Nov. 6 from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. MT at Cottonwood Field Station (23738 Fairview Rd. Philip, SD 57567).
The objectives of the camp are to teach youth about the value of bovine artificial insemination (AI), the AI process and equipment needed, while gaining hands-on experience during this day camp.
Registration for this course will cost $35 per youth (this covers the day materials, lunch and snack). Registration is also limited to the first 20 registrants to provide adequate hands-on time.
Registrants must be Junior or Senior 4-H members (middle school or high school students) to participate.
