Caregiver Learning Workshops: Estate and Elder Law Planning

Thursday, January 27

North Dakota State University (NDSU) Extension and South Dakota State University (SDSU) Extension will be holding a virtual Caregiver Learning Workshop about Estate and Elder Law Planning on Jan. 27, 2022, starting at at Noon CST/11:00 a.m. MT.

As a caregiver, understanding elder law and legal issues around caring for adults is critical. Unfortunately, the sheer complexity of legal issues and aging is overwhelming and many caregivers find they do not have the time to learn everything they need to know about caregiving and elder law. This Caregiver Learning Workshop will increase attendee knowledge about important elder law topics.

  1. Powers of Attorney provide family oversight, privacy and facilitate asset management and protection of planning.
  2. Health Care Directives provide a HIPAA release and uphold your wishes with dignity.
  3. How to title your real estate and accounts to avoid a court probate upon your death.

Presented by:

Susan Johnson-Drenth, Certified Elder Law Attorney

Registration is free and begins Jan. 1.
