SDSU Extension will be hosting a canning workshop on July 25 at 4 PM CDT at the Elkton Community Center (508 Buffalo St., Elkton, SD 57026).
- safe food preservation practices
- guiding participants through hands-on canning techniques
- water bath applesauce
- pressure canning green beans
This workshop is open to all, but any youth under the age of 13 needs to have an adult present to assist them during the workshop. Participants should bring a shoe box to the workshop to take jars home in.
