SDSU Extension, along with its project partners, will offer a Bringing the Farm to School: Producer Training from January 18-19 at McCrory Gardens (631 22nd Ave., Brookings, SD 57006).

Schools offer a strong market opportunity for agricultural producers. At this training, farmers, ranchers, and local food processors can learn strategies for selling products to school markets, network with other producers, and visit a local school lunch operation.

Learn more about this project, funded in part with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service through an agreement with the National Center for Appropriate Technology in partnership with the National Farm to School Network at Bringing the Farm to School: Producer Training. The training has been adapted as necessary to best fit the needs of a South Dakota audience.
