4-H Shooting Sports Coaches Training @ Jones County

SDSU Extension will host a 4-H Shooting Sports Coaches Training on Saturday, November 19 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CT at the Jones County Sportsman Club (105 Sport Lane, Murdo, SD, 57579). The Jones County Sportsman Club can be found by driving North on Main Street and turning right past the elevator.

The training course will cover the core requirements needed to become a certified 4-H Shooting Sports instructor, including youth development training (only needed once), discipline training (archery, rifle and pistol) and training recertification. All training participants will be required to bring their own eye and ear protection and firearms.

  • 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. (CT) - Registration
  • 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Discipline Training
  • 12:00 p.m. - Lunch (Provided for all registered participants)
  • 12:30 p.m. - Done - Discipline Training (Continued) and Youth Development
