4-H Regional Volunteer Training @ Howard

SDSU Extension's South Dakota 4-H program will host a regional training for 4-H volunteers on Saturday, November 19 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. CDT at the Miner County 4-H Building (401 N. Main St., Howard, SD 57349).

The training will provide an opportunity for 4-H volunteers to come together to network, learn, and ask questions of state 4-H Staff.

  • 9:00 a.m. – Check-in
  • 9:20 a.m. – Welcome
  • 9:40 a.m. – Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Training 
  • 11:00 a.m. – Break
  • 11:10 a.m. – 4-H Projects Open Space Discussion/Learning
  • 12:00 p.m. – Lunch
  • 12:30 p.m. – Youth Project Highlight
  • 1:00 p.m. – Q&A
  • 1:30 p.m. – Feedback and Evaluation

Registration

The cost to attend is $15 if registered by November 4. After that, the cost to attend will be $20. Registration is required and will close on November 16. Lunch will be provided.
