South Dakota State University (SDSU) Extension will be hosting the 2022 Creative Life Story Writing Workshop webinar over Zoom on Jan. 25 from 7-9 p.m. CST.
The workshop will include a combination of educational content, writing prompts, writing time, sharing time, and calls to action over the course of a 2-hour zoom session.
Whether you’re an experienced writer, or you’re just starting out, this workshop is for anyone interested in recording their memories onto paper. This interactive workshop will provide information on how to organize your life stories and how to make them interesting for readers. Through writing prompts, you will learn how to incorporate sensory detail into your stories, making special moments and milestones more vivid. Research shows that life story writing can be personally fulfilling, as well as an outlet for processing emotions. Writing your life stories preserves your memories and provides an heirloom for family and friends.
Registration opens Jan. 1.
